Shanghai, China
Shanghai is definitely one of the most culturally diverse and vibrant places I have visited and currently the place I call home. Citywide, there are so many things to experience, history, culture, food. It is definitely a city worth visiting. Along with much of China, the city is changing rapidly. Urbanization and modernization is evident everywhere across the city. Out with the old and in with the new. If you get a chance, visit the old whilst it is still around to see.

Shanghai has an abundance of parks spread across the city. During springtime most of them are filled with a stunning variety of blossoms.
Yuyuan Garden in Shanghai is a timeless escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Within the garden walls, you can explore the garden at your leisure and get a real sense of how China's wealthy once used to unwind.
The Jade Buddha Temple is my favourite temple in Shanghai. It's more authentic and tranquil than the likes of Jing'an Temple and Longhua Temple. A definite must see.

One of my favourite things to do in the city is to explore the old neighbourhoods dotted across the city. Here, you can get a real sense of how most people live in China.

With the density of Shanghai, space is somewhat a luxury. When walking through the Lilong's, you'll see the real raw side of Shanghai life.
